Our range of variable autotransformers (often referred to as variacs) are used for the variable control of voltages from 0V to 270V (single-phase) and 0V to 470V (three-phase). Variable autotransformers are frequently used in repair shops for testing appliances under differing voltages or to imitate irregular line voltages.
