The EMCV and EMCH ranges
of aluminium housed metal clad braking resistors in both upright ’bookend’
style and flat ‘low profile’ styles. The
full range is from 60 Watts to 1000 Watts in 11 standard ratings. These units
offer low price with a small overall size ,
they are high power with excellent load life stability.
They
are moulded within a self extinguishing ,
solvent and moisture resistant material. Non inductive types are available and
custom built units can be produced for
special requirements.
The SLR range of high
power, slim-type aluminium housed resistors from 100 Watts to 500 Watts in 7
standard ratings offer an excellent space
factor to power ratio. They are low cost and light weight with good heat
conduction. Non inductive types, modules with
thermal switches and high or low resistance values are available. Multiple
resistors can be assembled together for
higher power ratings.
The OER range of edge
wound resistors, in 800 Watts, 1000 Watts and 1200 Watts, are constructed by
coiling the resistor around ceramic
insulators on a steel strip. The resistor element is made of stainless steel,
fecral or nickel chromium. The ceramic core
is resistant against shock or vibration and the edge wise helical design offers
efficient cooling with an extended life.
These units are industry standards for easy replacements for other major brands.
They
can be easily assembled in multiple banks and
can be supplied fully enclosed. Custom built units are available on request.
The VHWR range of wire
wound resistors are high wattage from 1000 Watts to 3000 Watts in 5 standard
sizes. They are available in current ratings
from 4 amps to 27 Amps. They are constructed from continuously wound resistance
wire on a high strength and high temperature
ceramic core over a steel frame. Non inductive and custom built resistors are
available on request. They can be supplied as
variable types, assembled in multiple banks and can be fully enclosed.
