A comprehensive range of
custom built inductive reactors used in conjunction with AC motor controllers.
They are connected in
differential mode configuration and are used in the following three
applications:
The reactor is installed
between the input mains filter and the motor controller and in this application
the low frequency
electromagnetic
interference is improved by levelling the input current drawn. This will cause a
typical volt drop of between 2-4% of the
nominal mains voltage.
The reactor is installed
between the inverter and the motor and enables the correct de-coupling of the
two devices. Where
the reactor is used in a
system with a single power supply for multi-axis or mandrel control devices, the
reactor is installed between the mains filter
and the power supply to de-couple it from the mains supply.
These
reactors are custom built or can be designed to customer drawings or
requirements. Where dimensions are not critical
these units are designed around the SE/SF and TE/TF range of frame sizes.
